NOVA

The Netherlands Research School for Astronomy (NOVA) is the alliance of the astronomical institutes of the universities of Amsterdam, Groningen, Leiden en Nijmegen.

Our mission is to carry out frontline astronomical research in the Netherlands, to train young astronomers at the highest international level, and to share our new discoveries with society. NOVA has two instrumentation groups, one based in Dwingeloo, specialized in cryogenic optical-infrared instrumentation and one based in Groningen, focused on sub-mm instrumentation, particularly for ALMA.
